PORT PERRY STAR - AN KIRA, EE) Wednesday, Sept. 25, 1974 -- 9 pital Auxiliary commence fall season with meeting Monday, Sept. 16th the members of the Hospital Auxiliary started the fall season. There were 26 ladies in attendance. The President greeted all and had the meeting opened by a reading of the Auxiliary Prayer by Norma Crowell. "A very good treasurer's report was given by Bonnie . Gerrow. All seems healthy in that department. Marion Webster reported that since the last meeting in June, 18 girls and 14 boys have been born at the hospi- tal. Approximately 104 babies have been born in the hospital since the first of the year. The Tuck Shop reports a good summer of sales, and is looking forward to an even better Fall and Winter season. Mary Cannon repor- ted that the new E.C.G. machine, and the new refrig- erator for the Lab have arrived and are now in use. It was with regret that the resignation of Mrs. Jeanne Elliot was accepted as buyer for the Tuck Shop. Those shoes of Jeannes are going to be very hard to fill. The annual meeting will be . held in the Municipal Offices on November 18th at 2 p.m. The geneal public is most cordially invited. A special mention .to the ladies of the Candace Unit of the U.C.W. at Blackstock for their very generous donation of a complete layette for some needy baby born at our hospital. This was gathered and instigated under the helpful eye of Mrs. (Toots) Neil Malcolm. Our apologies to all, that the layette was not properly displayed, but unfortunately it was a very busy agenda, and time just did not permit it. But on behalf of the Auxiliary our sincere thanks to all who participated in the gathering of those articles. The meeting was closed with all saying the Mizpah Benediction. A delicious luncheon was provided by Jeanne Goode and Irene Lerch. The next monthly meeting will be held at the Hospital on October 21st at 2:00 p.m. Hope to see you there.
