Dear Sir: I think that I may clarify what was said concerning "Port Perty becomes another Blackstock", by Mr. Napier Simpson. I was present at the time the interview was conducted and the statement although misleading in print, was * certainly not intended, as a slight to Blackstock in any way. The jist of the remark was that if a community is to lose its landmarks than one place becomes indistinguishable from the other, ie. Port Perry becomes another Blackstock or Warkworth or "Maple, etc. 4 It was not intended to suggest that Blackstock has no buildings of merit or that they had destroyed same. I hope that this may clarify the misunderstanding. Sincerely, Ralph M. Price. ( WHITBY DENTURE CLINIC 214 DUNDAS ST.
