The programme consisted of a wide variety of musical numbers from var- ious Broadway musicals and other music familar to the audience even the little folk were favoured with a num- ber known to them the theme song of Sesame Street. Rose conducted the service which opened with O Canada, Call to Worship and Blackstock and district Prayer of Invocation. The hymn '0 God our Help in Ages Past' was sund. Rose continued with Scripture Reading and addressed the Youth Groups especially talking about the Roman Soldier, a description of his colourful uniform, his method of battle procedure and the importance of discip- line in his life and well as in our lives today. Mr..and Mrs. John Morris and Jason of London were weekend guests of Mr. Gordon Paisley, Craig and Cathy. Mrs. Erica Kiezebrink took her Senior Band of the Cartwright Central Public School to the Bethany Ang- lican Church where they played as part of morning Worship Service. After the service they enjoyed lunch at the Church. On Thursday evening, the A.C.W. and the evening Unit of the U.C.W. held a combin- ed meeting at the Parish Hall. Elaine Bailey wel- comed all present after which Catherine Corden andy a group of the A.C.W. mem- bers conducted a worship service. Mrs. Linda Mc Laughlin demonstrated 'several recipes of Gourmet Cooking in her delightful manner. Such "interesting recipes as Pumpkin Parfait, Grasshopper Pie and Baked Alaska as well as several others.were capably demon- strated and then later samp- led as the delicious lunch, to conclude a fine evening of fellowship. On Sunday evening, Mr. and- Mrs. Jim McLaughlin and Brenda, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Griffen and Ivan of Enniskillen, Mrs. Russell Mc Laughlin of Caesarea arriv- ed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mahaffy to surprise Bill and Jean on the occasion of their 10th wedding anni- versary.
