Isabelle Lee installed as '75 U.C.W. president The general meeting of the U.C.W. was held in the Church Lounge, recently, with a splendid attendance. The President, Isabel Lee, chaired the meeting, and warm words of welcome were extended to those present. Dora Dowson presented an excellent financial report. The U.C.W. has had an eventful year in 1974, and many successful projects were carried out. A motion was passed to give a sizeable donation to the Stewards. Shirley Brawn recommen- ded that the U.C.W. start a Library of 'Christian Liter- ature" for the women of the Port Perry Church. Due to this idea being brought forth, 'a decision was made to spend fifty dollars on our first order of books. Members decided to spon- sor two girls to attend T.O.C. Alpha Convention (Drug and Alcohol) which will be held at Niagara Falls, around Christmastime. Mr. Arthur Buck of the Pork Institute has been con- tacted, and a programme is scheduled for April, but the date hasn't been confirmed as yet. This educational programme will be well advertised, and tickets will be on sale. Watch for particulars at a latter date. The Devotional was pre- pared by. the Mary Unit' dealing with Church Union, as it will be the 50th Anniver- sary in June. HANCOCK Appliance Servicing REPAIRS The Programme was pre- sented by the Sarah Unit, and also centred around plans for celebrating Church Union.
