Duff's Towing played a good game but could not put the ball past goaltender Mike Vanderby who picked up the shut-out for Smits. Smits started it off quickly with their first goal at the 0:15 mark of the first period when Ron Short from Rick Evans put it by goalie Alf Appleby. Then at the 5:53 mark, Ken Nightingale scor- ed his first. from Chris. Denure. Then at the 11:20 mark, Ken Nightingale got his second from Ron Short and Denny Martyn to end the period at 3-0. At 9:58 of the second period, Ken Nightingale got his third goal from Ron Short. Then at the 12:30 mark Pat Thompson from Ron Evans tucked it in to lead 5-0. To end the game Ken -Nightingale got his fourth goal from Ron Short at the 14:53 mark which ended it a 6-0 score. Brians Supertest 2 - Cawkers Cawkers Butcher 1 " Both teams played a good defensive first period with neither teams picking up a goal. Then Brian's did it again at the 8:25 mark when John Cooper picked up an unassisted goal for a 2-0 lead. But Cawker's came back at the 16:28 mark when Doug Scott scored from Aldon Smith to trail 2-1. Cawker's pulled their goalie trying to get a goal and be satisfied with a tie, but just couldn't pick up a goal and lost 2-1.
