Sunday visitors with the Christie's were his "sister Mrs. Cora Gunyou and niece, Jean Toronto. } Mr-and Mrs. Christie were guests on Boxing day with Mr. and Mrs. H. Kerry. The H. Gourlies entertain- ed their family on Christmas Day. The Watson family were with their parents. The Hansen family were all home but daughter, Sharon, so Barbara decided to visit sister Sharon in Michigan for the remainder of her vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Medd enter- tained their family for Christmas, then January 4th, daughter Elaine and her husband, Mel Rainey of Whitby presented them with a grandson. Their other son, Eugene, is visiting Grandma and Grandpa Medd for a few days. There was a good attendance and a beautiful Communion service at Epsom Christmas Eve. Several from Epsom attended the Open House at the Ballantrae Manse, Dec. 28th. Mr. and Mrs. Scott received about 80 guests. Mr. and 'Mrs. Murray Prentice of Sunderland, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Prentice and families were with Mr. and Mrs. G. Prentice for Christmas. Bob and Bev Thompson of Deseronto visited several families in the area one evening last week. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Brickle and family of Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thaxter of Beaverton visited Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilson, Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kerry and family visited Boxing day with Mr. and Mrs. Cloyne Stearman. The Manchester spent a couple of days camp- ing in Cottyn's woods. The first day and night Ross Munro, supervised and the second night Barry Paige was supervisor. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilson had Sunday dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Elford. The Card family -cele- brated Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Card with about thirty mem- bers present and on Boxing Day the Geer family met at the Cards with about forty members enjoying the party.
