On Mother's Day that year, they opened their flower shop known as Eleanor's Flowers. Fgur yearg later, her husband passed away and she has carried on a successful business in the same location on Queen Street. Eleanor has made many friends in Port Perry and likes to think of it as home. She has been on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Com- merce for 10 years and is past president of same. Eleanor was active in Canada's Centennial 1967 in which Chamber of Com- merce pc} the trophy for 'best all round' float out of entries of 60 or more. She was also Chairman of the Santa Claus Parade for a number of years. Eleanor has three children married, a son, Frank, daughters, Sylvia and Marie and is the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren. DON & WENDY TRAN, purchased the General Store in Prince Albert two years ago from Mr. and Mrs. Ross Sweetman, and since moving to Prince Albert, Don has become active in the Scugog Chamber of Commerce. Wendy was raised and attended school in Toronto, and was very active in equestrian riding for over 15 years, winning many championships. She also coached baseball, and was involved with the Association for Mentally Retarded in both Whitby and Picker - ing. Don was born in Whitevale and attended school in Stouffville. He was very active in coaching and playing minor sports and is now a member of the new arena board. Wendy and Don were married in 1958 and have three children living at home, Donny 16, Linda 12, and Allan 10. Don and Wendy are celebrating their second anniversary in business this 7 weekend.
