He accompanied Vin Walker, current President of the Ontario Amateur Softball Association and two senior instructors from Oshawa. Ken Goreski and Dave Nichols both pitched excel- lent ball games in spite of continuous rain which made throwing a wet ball very tough. Goreski limited the Oshawa team to only 5 hits while striking out 8 batters, while his team mates collect- ed 14 hits off losing pitcher Nichols. Ken Davidson led the hit- ters with a homerun, triple, double and a single to com- plete the hit cycle, while pitcher Ken Goreski helped his own cause with a double and three singles, Brent Heard had two hits with single hits going to Rick Beare, Dennis Romeril, Bill St. John, Bill Wanamaker and Gene Hurst.
