Above are John Raines, back to camera, Doug Butt, Jack Cook, Jr., and Dave Ballingall. New equipment for playground Anew playground is now in operation for Port Perry children. It is located on the grounds of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 419 on Bay Street, east of the Legion Ball Diamond. The playground equipment consisting of six swings, a climber, two spring teeters, and a slide has been donated to-the Legion by the Assoc- iate Members (Veterans' and Daughters) of Branch 419. All children in the com- munity are invited to make use of these facilities at their own risk and the equipment should provide many enjoy- able hours of recreation for the children of Port Perry. This is just one of many projects that the Associate Members have undertaken for the Legion and the com- munity since their accept- 'ance as Legion members.
