Mrs. Edie Jansen held a surprise baby shower for Mrs. Jean Wylie on Wed. night. Mr. Laurence Evans presi- ded over our morning wor- ship last Sunday, much to the enjoyment of those present. June 29 is the last day for Sunday School classes until it resumes in September. - There will be a Vacation Bible School in Greenbank for one week, commencing July 14, (ages 3 and up). Grade eight students of the Seagrave area attended their graduation exercises at R.H. Cornish Public School last Thursday night. Mr. and Mrs. Heywood Shorts weekend guests were Mr. and Mrs. Stan Woolridge from Little Britain, and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Woolridge from Lowell, Indianna. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Heywood Short visited Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Fowler at Eden for the Sunday School Anniversary. We are very glad to report Mrs. Reg Abraham is feeling much better. The House Tour and Tea, sponsored by the Kinette Club of Port Perry, with proceeds going to the Com- munity Hospital was delight- fully attended by many of our local residents. Friday, June 13 turned out to be anything but lucky, for Blair Beacock - it was his birthday. Those helping him celebrate his big day includ- ed Annette and Scott Foster, Kevin Jones, Krista Carr, Derek Warren and Joanne Desautel. A community presentation to honour Mr. and Mrs. William Cowell, recently married, was held at the church Saturday night.
