Wallace, nee Gladys Rey- nolds, who celebrated her 80th birthday. Mrs. Wallace, who in the year 1914 resided at the present Mahaffey home was delighted with her party. On Wednesday evening, October 1st, in lieu of the regular monthly meeting, 12 members of Court Lady Snowbird enjoyed their an- nual night out. Reservations had been at at the Tel- ler's Cage in the Commerce Court in Toronto. Dinner was a connoisseur's delight. Fol- lowing dinner a hilarious floor show left us in a state of near collapse. The show, which was live, was entitled, "Sweet Reason", which is a happy pursuit of life and liberation. I feel that I am expressing the opinion of all that attended when I say, we ate too much and laughed too hard. The weather was 'in their favour, which of course made it pleasant for the large attendance at the sale. Guests from Black- stock, Port Perry, Nestleton, Brampton, Toronto and Jan- etville, were in attendance. A silver tea service was presented to the surprised couple with sever- al other exquisite gifts too numerous to mention. Mrs. Grandel informed me that she and her husband -were overwhelmed by the entire evening. May I add that it could not have happened to a nicer couple.
