Mr. Stewart Sweetman has returned from hospital after a 5-day fluid-problem. His wife, Mary, is confined to the house or bed with a foot that refuses to heal due to newly contracted diabetes. Sandra and Jerry Taylor are deeply concerned about Jerry's youthful sister, in Toronto, who has a terminal illness and 5 children to plan for.
