Thursday, November 27th in an exhibition game at Uxbridge Arena, the Legion Pee Wee's skated to a 3 to 1 victory over Oshawa's Little N.H.L. Blackhawks. Port were full vaue for the victory as they outskated and outhustled the Black- hawks right from the open- ing faceoff. The Storry, Andrews, Horton combinat- ion picked up two goals. The first goal came just past the three minute mark of the first period on a good pass- ing play, Andrews to Storry to Horton. Their second goal came late in the third period when Andrews start- ed a play as he passed to Storry who drop passed the puck to Horton and he found the mark with a shot from just inside the - blueline. Gould sandwiched a goal in between to give Port a three to zip lead. He was in quickly to-slide a puck into the net that the goaltender was slow in clearing. The Blackhawks scored their only goal late in the third period ona deflected shot that spoiled the Franssen- Williams bid for a-shutout. Port held a five to one lead at the end of the second period and then seemed to let up a little as both teams scored twice in the third period. Robinson scored unassisted in the first period and Wil- bur on two solo rushes in the third period scored twice. Other scoring plays were Jeffrey from Wilbur, An- drews from. Jeffrey and Robinson, Horton from Storry and Potts from San- dison, Franssen and Williams . were steady in goal. The defence combinations of Wil- bur-Blayone and Robinson- Sandison played good hoc- key and moved the puck well out of their own end. Sunday November 30th at Woodville, the Legionaires lost a close 4 to 3 decision to Little Britain Aces. and Potts drawing assists. Jones scored at the 8:38 mark 'of the third period to give ,Port-a three to two lead. Horton and Storry Wilbur. scored twice with' Horton" drew assists on the play. Little Britain came back with two goals late in the third period to notch the. victory. Wilbur played a strong game for the Legion- aires who otherwise seemed to feel the effects of three games in four days as they were outskated for>one of the few times this season. The Legionaires- record to date is 8 wins, 2 ties, and 3 losses. They have scored 4.29 goals" per 'game and allowed the opposition just 2.61 goals per game, Central Ontario Junior "C".
