2 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1976 Up «s Down the Street Dr. Cam MacMaster, well known veterinarian in the Port Perry area for the past 37 years has announced his retirement from practice as of January 31, 1976. His practice is being taken over by a team of veterinarians, under the name of Port Perry Veterinary Services. During the cold spell last week, one radio announcer was heard to say 'It sure must be cold out, I just saw a turkey walk by the window wearing a capon". Just thought we would pass a little smile on. Speaking of unoccupied stores, there seems to be some action taking place in the new plazas on Water St. and 7A. Haven't heard any rumors yet as to what may be going to occupy them, but we may possibly have some new stores shortly. It is interesting to note that two of the.local stores that have been vacant on Queen Street for the past few months are being cleaned up on the inside and there are now signs on the windows indicating that they are for rent. Sure would be nice to see them occupied again.
