Brian's just couldn't get it by Utica goalie who . came up with good saves when needed. : Utica started it off at the 5:55 mark of the first period -. when Mike Mitchell scored from Ron Redmen. Then with one minute left in the first period, Don Card scored from Ron Redmen and Gord Gegr. Eric Bens put Utica ahead 3-0 at 6:20 of the second, from Jack Mons- ma. One minute later, Bill 'Fielding scored from Tim . Mitchell and Frank Field- ing. At 8:50 of the third, Keith Ellicott scored from Mike Mitchell and Ron Redmen. Brian Reader scored one minute later from Eric Bens to put them ahead, 6-0. Utica got their final goal at 10:20 when Don Card scored from Eric Bens. Port coming out on top with a 4-0 total. Friday, March 26, was a different" story when Port came up against a strong * Levack team. The morning was exciting and close with ~Levack winning 2-1. The evening game Levack scored 6 goals before the "Big Red Machine" replied with two tallies. The score on the round was- 9-3 for Levack. --° Levack went on. to defeat Bradford and win the "D" championship at George- town, the biggest Bantam tournament in Ontario.
