20 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, May 5, 1976 Fashion Show nets Auxiliary $900 Women's Hospital Auxili- ary met in hospital on April 26th with 26 ladies attending. President Ileen Pugh called the meeting to order by reading .a poem "Take Time" and welcomed all present, specially our visitors. Minutes of previous meet- ing read by secretary and adopted. Treasurer Bonnie Gerrow gave a detailed report of the finances showing a most encouraging Balance on Hand. A splendid report was given on the fashion show and to date net proceeds shows approximately $900.00. The auxiliary wish to express sincere "THanks" to one and all who helpedin any way to make this event the huge success it was. Camille Crosier, treasurer, gave a -very favorable report on the finanges of Tuck Shop, and reported too that the Gift Cart was providing a good service to the patients and hospital staff. Marion Webster reported 19 babies born in the hospital - in the past two month period and expressed thanks to all who had contributed knitted articles for Tuck Shop, also to Manchester U.C.W. for the lovely layette donated for the nursery. Marion Cannon reported that 32 patients had received Easter gifts and 12 recipients of Meals on Wheels. Mrs, White, Director of Nursing attended the meet-- ing and spoke on Canada Hospital Day, May 12. this is to be celebrated by a display on hospital equipment and programming from 10 a.m, to 6 p.m. jn front of our local post office. Refreshments will be served by members of the auxiliary. It is hoped that the public will take advantage of this opportun- ity to become acquainted with the Laas working procedure of hospital. The next meeting, " the better auxiliary will be May 18 in Community Hall at Prince Albert at 1 p.m. This will be a luncheon and all members of auxjliary are invited to' attend. Three "Thank You" notes were.read and a thank you expressed for gift of shaving and hair-curling equipment which have been donated. 'Spring Fair takes place in St. "John's Presbyterian Church, May 15, 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. We ask for support to this function in aid of our Smith, local hospital. Hospital Tag Day will be June 11.
