Mrs. Gertrude Poirer, President of St. Gertrudes Parish, Oshawa, introduced the guest speaker, Father William F. Harding, whose topic was "Human and Spiritual Development'. He said maybe Genesis II has some answers to help individuals to get rid of their hangups, warped attitudes, false ideas and grow and change into happy, healthy, truly . spiritual human beings. He then showed us a film featuring Father Vin- cent Dwyer, a trappist monk - on sick leave from his monastery. Father Dwyer is an expert on Mystical The- ology and a Doctor of Edu- cational Psychology. Father Dwyer shows that two major blocks to human and spirit- ual development are a poor self image and poor physical health. He says each of us needs to be- constantly af- firmed and approved to feel wanted and secure. Each of us has a choice - we can either open to people or be closed to them. If we are 1S oft ou os? open, we reveal the inner beauty of God Who is Within us. Your relationship with other people. accurately reveals and betrays your relationship with God. Miss Anne - Bourke, Pre- sident of St. John's C.W.L. Whitby, thanked the guest spedker. Father Botman (closed the evening with prayer. Communication & Public Relations, Gloria St. Pierre.
