This year the program included numbers by the guest choir and band from Scott Park Secondary School in Hamilton. One hundred visiting students joined their talents with that of our stud- ents to entertain an audience of four hundred in the high school auditorium on May 8th. During the evening award winning students were pre- sented with their medals by Mrs. Grace Hastings and Mrs. Gertrude Jackson. The principal, Mr. Doug Williams, welconted the guests and congratulated the participants.- He also joined in the program to sing "Sent- imental Journey' with Mr. John Scott and Mr. Russ Baird, teachers. We hope to hear from this trio again soon. Highlights of the program were the numbers which won Port Perry top honours in "Alcan - Building Products Authorized Dealer their wim at the Lion's Festival at Sunderland earlier this year, 'This Little Babe" by the Girl's Ensemble, and "Die Meistersinger'" played by the combined bands of Scott Park and Port Perry. Reuben Crandell, the Port stage band, stopped the show and brought the audience to its feet to dance. The guest performers were a pleasure to hear. They enjoyed their visit to our town where they were billetted with Port Perry students for the weekend. They participated in activ- ities new to them, milking, riding, and walking. Our students, when they visited Hamilton for the weekend of April 23rd had been most impressed with the long and complex bus trips they took to see the sights.
