" The $25,000 will have to be. debentured by the township' and has to be approved by the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) as well as the region. The money is needed to bring the arena up to the provincial ministry of labor safety standards. Council last month ordered the closing of a second Brock Township arena, the Sunder- land Arena, after a report by engineers Totten, Sims and Hubicki indicated that arena would need about $220,000 for repairs. Council made its decision before the labor ministry closed the arena, Mr. Robertson said. The third arena in Brock is the three-year-old Beaverton Arena which does not re- quire repairs, Mr. Robertson said. , The estimated $220,000 for the Sunderland facility would be part of the deben- ture requested, he said.
