"English Week" at High School By Sheila O'Reilly Port Perry High is off to a good start this year with lots of new ideas from our stud- ents council helping to keep school interesting. One of these bright ideas was put to work last week when Port High saw their second "Theme week." This week was "English week)' a couple of days: set aside in order to honour our English department. To start off our "Days", we had an assembly Wednesday morning. - We advertised activity cards, introduced our Junior football team, had a few skits and poked fun at a few English teachers while presenting them to the rest of the Student body. Thursday was 'Nursery ,Rbyme!' day. A day in which all were supposed to dress as their favorite nursery rhyme idol. Tricycle and skipping races, that is. The first lunch previewed our skipping races when we watched Team 1 battle it out with Team 2 for first spot. Then we moved to the hall for the tricycle races. Com- ing in first with a time of 1 min. 40 seconds was the team of Wayne Taylor and his "running partner' Guy Wright. In our second lunch, we again watched 16 skippers skip 20 consecutive skips three times, just to. have their names written in our Port High Book of World Records. Oh, and of course, to say that they can skip better than anyone else at Port Perry High School. 1976 Model Year End Clearance Sale The 1977 Models have arrived and we need the space, so we are passing . model year end savings on our entire stock directly to our purchasers.
