Hull, the local Postmaster. : In addition, a surprise formal dinner was held in Emiel's Dining Lounge on Sunday, October 10th, atten- ded by the family and close friends. The dinner was hosted by Betty's four child- ren, Michael, William and Susan Terrett, in their mother's honour. An émotional moment highlighted this dinner, when Betty humbly and graciously gave heartfelt thanks 'for the blessings of such wonder- ful children". The evening ended on a pleasant note with a social gathering at Betty's home, with much reminiscing about times past. Drives along many of the streets in Port Perry the last few weeks, reveal numerous people burning their leaves, causing smoke screens across the roads.
