The Legionaires were hurting through injuries and sickness etc., being short staffed in every game of this three day tournament and victory was only possible by everyone giving that little extra effort to compensate for the absence of their team-mates. The Legionaires have had just a super season. They have played 60 games of hockey, winning 44, losing 11 and tying 5. They have scored 246 goals, while allowing the opposition just 122, They ended up first in their league standings. They defeated Uxbridge 4 straight, Schomberg 3 straight and Ernestown 3 straight in the O.M.H.A. Ontario Playdowns before bowing out 3 games to 1 to Dresden in the finals.
