Over 200 people gather at Port Perry Legion hall on Saturday night to honour the Old Bill's of World War |. dinner and dance. As the banquet began, Bill Hopkins piped the head table into the hall, and when in place, Gord Coplin filled the hall with the sound of his trumpet, 'as those who had fallen in the war were remembered. A standing ovation was given as MC John Maw introduced the guests and local Old Bill's in atten- dance, as well as branch member Harry Snowden, who stays at Sunnybrook. Head table guests were Padre Woolcock, Oshawa; Legion Ladies Auxiliary president presented a cheque for $1000 to Branch 419 president Jack Lee at the Old Bill's banquei.
