A lot of time has passed since the previous article and so have a -number of events, The Glee. Club had been - | rehearsing their commence- ment selections and pre- sented them beautifully at 'Port Perry High School on Music Night, Tuesday, April 19th. - Also they sang on - April Central Public _School's Spring Up Open House. A fine job was done by Harold Wright, our student con- ductor, and Janet Parsons, the pianist. The Outer's Club has also been keeping busy. Sunday, April 17th, as a. party of Education Week, the members could bring their family along to the Ganaraska Forest to -parti- cipate in the trim orienteer- ing. Eight days later, three _members, Peter Duivesteyn Eric Kristensen and Mark Vince competed in an orienteering meet and finished first, fourth and eighth respectively. There were approximately twenty- five other people in the competition. Something new for C.H.S. | this year was a chance to compete in the Pilgrimage for Youth sponsored by the Oddfellows and Rebekah Lodge. They would send one student from the Scugog area to the United Nation's Headquarters in New York during the summer. From Cartwright' Susan Gunter, Anne Kristensen and Janet Weir entered the contest.
