Sunday, April 17th, as a. party of Education Week, the members could bring their family along to the Ganaraska Forest to -parti- cipate in the trim orienteer- ing. Eight days later, three _members, Peter Duivesteyn Eric Kristensen and Mark Vince competed in an orienteering meet and finished first, fourth and eighth respectively. There were approximately twenty- five other people in the competition. Something new for C.H.S. | this year was a chance to compete in the Pilgrimage for Youth sponsored by the Oddfellows and Rebekah Lodge. They would send one student from the Scugog area to the United Nation's Headquarters in New York during the summer. From Cartwright' Susan Gunter, Anne Kristensen and Janet Weir entered the contest.
