The Golden Jubilee Anni- versary Service will be held in the Sunderland Town Hall auditorium, Sunday, May 8th at 3:00 p.m. The guest speaker will be Evangelist Barry Moore from London, Ontario, and the guest sing- ers will be the Outreach Male Quartet from Stouff- ville. + Word has been réceived in Sunderland from Queens Park that the Honourable William Newman, Minister of Agriculture and Food, and M.P.P. for the York- Durham riding, will attend the anniversary, and will present Pastor Guthrie with a Golden Jubilee plaque, on: behalf of the Ontario Gov- ernment. _ o be present from as far away as Papineauville,. Quebec, where Pastor Guthrie held his first pastorate in 1927. Others will attend, from churches where he has ser- ved during the past 50 years of his ministry. The public is invited to attend. Under the able direction of a Golden Jubilee Commit- tee, a Golden Jubilee Ban- quet has been arranged for Pastor Guthrie, for Monday, May 9th at 7:00 p.m. The Banquet will be held in the Kawartha Room of the Bon- fire Restaurant, on Highway 35, south of Lindsay, where an overflow crowd of Pastor Guthrie's friends will attend. While tickets are ~ still available as part of the overflow only, all will be united for the programme t follow. Dr. P. B. We' wish 'him 'a speedy recovery. ' Parents and children were very busy recently, Scugog Cluster Schools 'took part in a music night at Port Perry High School. The Epsom children sang really well. Our P.S, child- ren also took part in the Intermediate Music night at the Cornish School. Opén-house at the High School and at Epsom School kept éveryone on their toes.
