Our 4-H group consisting of Cathy Carr, Cheryl Standish, Joanne Nobbs, Carol Ann Sturman and Janice Ball with their leaders journeyed to Ux- bridge on Saturday for the annual 4-H Achievement Day. Each group put on an exhibit or a fashion show so the 'Seagrave Knit-wits" did their best to show how well they could perform as fashion models. . Each girl received a credit and the usual 4-H spoon. : In the evening they cele- brated with a trip to Oshawa for a show and a big feed of Chinese food. Then Mrs. Nicholls and Mrs. Belair were presented -with-a-token of thanks from the girls. Mrs. Beacock was unable to attend these affairs, as she was indisposed. Next mit, starting in the fall, will deal with cooking and is titled '"The Cereal Shelf". --Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dee, New Brunswick are visiting with Mrs. Dee's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Durward, for 3 weeks. On Sunday, Mi. and Mrs. Dee accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Jim Durward went to Rudy Tindall's for dinner and golf. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dur- ward and 'family were at Joan's parents on Sunday to celebrate Joan's birthday. Tuesday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Durward, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Durward will be in Oshawa at the Ponderosa to help. celebrate Lorna, Joan . and Marian's birthdays. Happy birthday to all of you. On Sunday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Moase, Mr. and Mrs, Danny Moase and family were guests at Mr. and Mrs. John Tobin. Fern told me it had been 22 years since she had seen these people. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wanamaker's Sunday night guests were Lavern and Dorothy Martyn and Allan and Beth Martyn. Grandpa and Grandma Wanamaker had Robert, Paul and Amy Lynn as Saturday night guests while their parents were our celebrating 'their anniversary.
