Daffodil Show Spring -was officially ushered into Durham Region on April 27, when: the Brooklin Horticultural iety held its first major event of the season in the form of a Daffodil Show. The weatherman did not co- operate but' the Society members did by submitting ninety-four entries. Doris Marlowe who is one of ~ the Society's own members, was the first guest of the evening. Mrs. Marlowe who has taken many courses and worked extremely - hard : to perfect her art, gavé a flower demonstration on "Flower Arranging in the Oriental Style'. On May 29 the Sunday School at Utica will be presenting the church service at Utica church. Saturday was a beautiful day, though windy and Mr. Lloyd Pogue had a good crowd at his sale. May 25th there will be an Official Board meeting of Session and Stewards at Goodwood at 8 p.m. Epsom and Utica Session will meet May 26 at 8:30 p.m. On Sat. Mr. and Mrs. Don Gale and family of Don Mills visited Mr. and Mrs. Paul Baster, Julie and Cathy. The Basters also received a surprise visit on Sat. of former neighbours Mr. and Mrs. Roger Oliver of Winni- peg. On Sun. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Potter and son of Don Mills were guests with Paul and Shirley Baster. The Omega group from Aurora Church gave us a lovely hour of Inspirational songs at Utica Church on Sun. evening followed by lunch. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Ashton attended a banquet for the Thursday evening Mens bowling leagu« at Port Perry Saturday e/en- ing, The men from Epsom Area won a Consolation prize.
