But it wasn't all Smooth sailing however, as a brisk 15-knot wind dumped many of the young enthusiasts into the waters of Lake Scugog last Wednesday. Glen Agar, who is a clinic instructor with the Associa- tion said later that the dunkings many of the sailors received would be a valuable lesson for them as part of the safety instruc- tion was to teach students to judge wind and water conditions and then decide whether it is safe to go out. Mr. Agar added that aside from sailing being a great way for young people to have fun and make new _ friends, it also demands a certain amount of self- discipline.
