So I went along with his suggestion; an PUTT TTT TTT better. myself I've always insisted on doing things the hard way...or differently. As a long-time beloved doctor of the past would say and did, "By Jove, you always do things backwards." And here, I was being reminded of this again; as no sooner had the tapes and stitches been removed than another of such was appearing. After some more weeks of "wishing it away", enduring the discomfort and the unavoidable bumps, I again confronted The Man of Medicine, who, was not happy with what he quickly though he had. But nonchalantly, and why not? (he wasn't hurting) he again taped it up and sent me on my way. "Come back if it bothers you again," said he. A few weeks later I went back and simply held my hurting hand to view, as greeting. This time he assumed a more serious attitude and quickly decided $ to refer me to another surgeon, explaining, "I'm sure arrange an appointment for the next day. The next day this (to me) new doctor said, "The only way to do this properly is to put you to sleep." Having been treated to induced sleep many times this posed no mental problem, and a week later after much preparation and many tests, it happened. This was followed by a couple more weeks in wrappings, with a warning "Keep it clean and don't get it wet." Though it took some doing, I managed, almost. Then again I returned for a stitch-removal session $ uncertainty, educate my left one to perform even simple tasks alone.
