Fiddlers and step- dancers start practising for the next year's show! It was a lively show with a variety of entertainment and all the contestants are to be congratulated for their efforts. The last performer was Keith McGregor from Oshawa, a young man who won the hearts of the crowd and judges with his singing as he accompanied himself on the guitar. Keith placed first in the 'Single Vocal, * over 16 years", and Archie Walker from Seagrave plac- ed second singing "The Hawaiian Wedding Song'. In the "Single Instrument- al, under 16", multi-talented David Nelson of Gormley, Ontario took the honours. In the "Single Instrumental, over 16," Ivan Allin of Brook- lin and Janice Parrott of Sunderland placed first and second respectively. Class 3 was won by a group of engaging children from Ajax, organized by Ron Stesaniuk and Craig Halket who performed magic tricks, complete with a complicated disappearing act. The group was called 'Magic Incorp-- orated.' Ten year old Billy Litner of Oshawa playing a very large guitar won the 'Single Vocal under 16" and Darlene Gib- son of Seagrave came second. A special class "Strictly Vocal" was won by Jacque- line Kirke of Omemee, the daughter of second place winner Barbara Rivett, of Port Perry. A talented duo. Adding to the entertain- ment were Ken Whitehead of Blackstock, Bonny Barter of: Whitby, Penny Segvin of Oshawa, Bev. Driscoll of Port Perry, Archie Walker of Seagrave and Cameron Deeth of Port Perry. The judges were Jean Kennedy, Bill Crawford and Paul Arculus.
