Cour- tice struck first but Port fought back as Ivan 'The Animal" Knight blocked a punt and Paul Jones recover- ed the ball in the end zone. The Redmen faked the con- vert and Gord Simmonds threw a 2 point conversion pass to Greg "Abu" Fedyk. On their next posession of the ball the Redmen marched the ball up to midfield on a - good combination of running and passing. QB Simmonds then threw a 50 yard pass to halfback Scott Wilbur who legged it into the endzone. Simmonds kicked the con- vert and Port led 15-8 at halftime.
