Prices rising Alfalfa seed will sell at over $2.50 per pound and trefoil seed over $3.00 according to the Canadian Seed Association. Even timothy is expected to go over $1.50 per pound. Brome is acutely short, in fact supplies are the lowest singe 1946. Canadian certi- fied SeodSgaimos non-exis- tent. Red clover seed is also in short supply particularly Ontario produced seed. We had the seed but not the weather to harvest it. Factors contributing to Ontario spot shortages could - be a switch out of corn with current corn prices next year. A fairly open fall in 'much of Ontario has resulted in sizeable acreages of land being plowed. PORT PERRY BAPTIST CHURCH Rev. D. C.
