Trent Mood gave Flamin- "gos a 4-2 lead late in the first period on a disputed goal. The goal-light did not go on, but the referee who was right on the spot immediately called the shot a goal. Flamingos had the best of the play in the first 20 minutes, but went flat in the second, allowing Eagles to tie the score by the midway point. It was a soft goal from the side of the net that hit the goalie and trickled across the line. But it put Flamingos ahead 5-4 and came at a point when the Eagles looked like they were taking control of the game.
