Juniors keep winning The Port Perry High School Junior Boys basket- ball team put its unbeaten record on the line Saturday and won all three games to capture the Bayview Bengal Junior Boys tournament. In the second game against a very "physical" squad from Ancaster, Port Perry started slowly in the first half, but by the end of the third quarter had taken control of the game. George Cope again led the scoring with 20 points and Scott Wilbur chipped in with 14. Cope and George Burnett were strong on the rebounds. THE FINAL Most observers felt that the final game of the tourna- ment against Toronte Park- dale would be a toss-up, but a fired up Port Perry team played near flawless basket« ball to completely rout their opposition to the tune of 86-32. George Burnett played his strongest sgame all season and led in rebounds. With less than four minutes Ken Fraser'scored from Ron Redman and Doug Scott to finish the scoring. by Glenn Geer On Monday, December 12 the Grant Menzies Pacers Midget 1 club hosted Peter- borough and came away with a seven to two victory: The big red machine started slowly because of the week lay off but in the second period they came alive with four goals. George Burnett with four, Dave Canning, Charlie Brown and Mike Tobin did the scoring for the Pacers. On Wednesday, Dec. 14'the Grant Menzies Pacers trav- elled to Peterborough to play them for the last time this season and came home with a seven to five victory. The 0.HA.
