Oshawa Dines won the Consolation defeating Midland. The Legionaires played three good games. The John- stone-Vaz-Foote line got the Legionaires off to a fast start in their first game against Port Hope scoring two goals in their first shift on the ice. Foote scored from Johnstone at the 7:49 mark of the first period and just 28 seconds later Vaz scored unassisted. The Legionaires never look- ed back and dominated play for the balance of the game. Burnett played a strong game on defense and Young played his usual strong game at centre. Ports second game against "Uxbridge was a see-saw battle with the team taking turns scoring. The Young- Jones-Lee line were the power up front with Jones and Lee each potting two goals and Young getting 2 assists. Redshaw was strong on the attack for Uxbridge scoring two goals and assist- ing on another. The championship game against Ernestown was just what a final game should be, fast, exciting, hard-hitting hockey. Ernestown took a 2 to 0 lead in the first period. Port scored the only goal in the second period when Young scored unassisted at the 7:54 mark. Port had the edge in play in this period and except for some hot goal tending by the Ernestown goaltender, they would have an edge on the scoreboard also. Young scored early in the third period, with Henricks and Lane assisting. Jones and Cane played a strong game on defense with Jones in particular handing out some great hip checks. Ernestown took a 3 to 2 lead midway in the third period and only some great saves by their goaltender kept Port from tieing it up.
