The trophy for the most points in the competition was awarded to the Oshawa Club. This trophy has been in existance for six years having been donated by the Boundy family of Port Hope. Scugog Mayor Lawrence ° Malcolm presented each of the first place winners with a gold medal, while silver medals for second place were presented by Howard Hall, and the third place bronze medals were award- ed by Irma Lewis, Presid- ent of P.P.F.S.C. when he gloved a hard screened shot from the "point. Despite having to kill off the penalties, Flamingos had a territorial edge in the "play for most of the game. But the Panthers, who fin- ished sixth in the league standings, are an improved club, and they have proved in the first two games of the series that they are not going to be a push-over. The third game of the series was played Tuesday night in Port Perry (as this issue of the Star was going to press) and the fourth game will be in Port Hope on Thursday night. The final game if necessary will be back in the Scugog Arena this Sunday night. TR RAY Seen - -~ ty . t \ - \ - Tax, x . Sw oY a
