Museum plans 78 opening By Ivy Rahm The Lake Scugog Histori- :al Society open meeting vas held on March 13th in Fown Hall 1873 in Port Perry with Helen Redman, resident, in the chair. The meeting opened with won- derful music by a Port Perry High School Ensemb- le; these young people de- serve a big pat on the back for their devotion to music. We're always glad to listen to (and look at) these talen- ted young people. During the short business session a presentation was: made retired curator to Doreen Adam, of Scugog Music students from Port Perry High School partici- pated in the 21st Annual Sunderland Lion's Club Music Festival between March 6 and 10. The students, under the directorship of Mr. Baird and Mr. Peter Chel- lew, were very successful, a credit to themselves, the school and the community. The results: A Port Perry man was sentenced to 18 months in jail for breaking into a Simcoe Street North service station last Oct. 5 and steal ing an envelope filled with money. Thomas W.
