This year the kiddies will enjoy the new playground facilities soon to be erected at the park site. Education week saw var- ious activities going on at our local schools. Mothers from the area volunteered their time to assist in creative workshops including sewing, leathercraft, cooking and many other activities. A miscellaneous shower -and coffee party was held in the church on April 13 in honour of Janet Abraham's upcoming marriage. Janet was the happy recipient of many lovely gifts. A beautiful spring day helped set the scene for a lovely wedding last Saturday in Valentia where Ellen Holmes and Bob Bruce ex- changed marriage vows.
