Although there were many activities in Port Perry and surround- ing area the attendance was gratifying. Sister Stella Dennis, Worthy Matron of Blue Ray Chapter, extended a warm welcome to those attending and introduced Sister Audrey Martin, District Deputy Grand Matron of District No. 11, who in her gracious manner officially opened the Bazaar. She also gave those present an insight into the work carried out by the Order of the Eastern Star, which is a world wide Benevolent organization, and depicted progress made since organizing the Grand Chapter of Ontario in 1915 in St. Thomas, Ontario. The various tables were laden with attractive items for sale. An appetizing array of home baking was on hand, and candy, jellies, handi- crafts, novelities and plants were featured. Throughout the afternoon Retirement Dinner Members of the Board of Governors, and their wives, honoured Doris Watson at a Retirement Dinner at Emiel's Place on April 20th. Doris was an employee with Community Memorial Hospital for more than 25 years. Sheldon Smith, Chairman. of the Public Relations Committee presented the gifts to Mrs. Watson. Fellow staff members also held a dinner for Mrs. Watson on March 15th at Emiel's Place. Approximately 35 co-workers attended and Mrs. Watson received a lava light and a Hospital spoon. The attractive Tulip Quilt donated by the Past Matrons Club for the June draw was on display and members were busy selling tickets. 66 Brock St. W., Enns El THE UNITED CHURCHOF CANADA PORT PERRY CHARGE Rev.
