Sister Stella # Dennis Worthy Matron, con- ducted the opening cere- monies, assisted by Brother Sam Cawker, Worthy Pat- V ron. Many Sisters and - Brothers from other Chapters were cordially - welcomed with Durham, Sunbeam, Whitby, Marham, € Ontario, Birchceliff, York and Zenith well represent- ed. It was a pleasure to greet Sister . Audrey Martin D.D.G.M.. from Bowman- ville and Sister Agnes _ Wallace Past D.D.G.M. from Stouffville. Honoured guests for the evening were the Serenity Matrons, Patrons and Associate Matrons and Patrons. Seven Matrons and three Patrons were es- corted to the East and ex- tended greetings by the Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron. A splendid number of Past Matrons and Patrons were on hand as well and made welcome. Communi- cations read by Secretary Sister Betsy Staniland in- a cluded a letter from Grand Chapter, thank you notes from members who had received Easter plants, and a letter from the Hospital Auxiliary soliciting "support from the membership for the Hospital Spring Fair to be held Sat. May 27 at Latcham Centre. An excellent report of the Benevolent Committee was presented by Sister Elsie Wilbur, convenor.
