TRIP TO TORONTO Meanwhile on the home front, a bus load of students and four teachers explored many interesting sights much closer to home -- Tor- onto. The senior students had a lesson in high finance during their visit to the Torontd Stock Exchange; leaving the world of finance behind, they found out a bit about Metro politics by visiting the Toronto City Hall. At the same time, the junior students were touring restaurant and the ocean liner "The Jadran". We found out that Captain John specialized in wedding receptions and he gracious- ly offered to take advance bookings! The next stop was the Parliament Build- ings where, after being photographed, we were given a complete tour of the buildings and the govern- ment chambers. Our guide gave us an informative commentary throughout the tour. After lunch, the two groups joined for the remainder of the day. Unfortunately, in spite of the beautiful weather, the view was not as panoramic as it might have been; therefore we could not discern the Purple Hills in the east, but had to settle for the Scarborough day of sunshine and sight- seeing, we returned to the school in record time although the highways were crowded with long Weekend travellers.
