From our community, has. suddenly emerged a T.V.. personality. This week Mrs. Allan Howe participated on a "T.V. program of Oshawa Cable T.V. on their French program demonstrating the fine art of making Christmas decorations. Only one major problem - this program was in French and Agnes is definitely in English. This challenge was met by having her friend who works for the station Mrs. Yolande who is bi-lingual describe the various manual maneuvers in her native tongue. This program was shown on T.V. cable on two different days. We. asked the obvious ques- tion - "Were you nervous?" No. Hubby Allan comments - "anyone who can thread a needle on T.V. on first attempt can't be nervous." To which in our opinion there is no rebuttal. Was the program rehearsed? No! Agnes had the various tables arranged ahead of time knowing what she had in Watch our flashing window sign for weekly specials. ad I 'mind and proceeded ' from there with extemporaneous comments from the shows Hostess and Yolande McNulty. What was the greatest distraction? The bright lights and the exces- sive heat emanating from them. In Yelverton, Agnes' manual dexterity in-various art forms is a well known accomplishment. Pleased to see that her light is no longer under a bushel and has been extended to the field of T.V. Who knows - perhaps a Star is Born. : With Christmas a few short days away, it behooves us to express our gratitude to Ye Editor and Staff in theif latitude (not lassitude) in permitting us space to express news, views and' comments through out the past year and to extend to them and to any reader who has the fortitude to plod through our weekly mean- derings the Merriest Christ- mas ever and the best in Health and Happiness throughout 1979. belo ee ode ale le dl Boe le 3 THE GALLEY FISH & CHIPS Catering for Christmas and New Year's Parties.
