Show at the CNE in Toronto | -OBITUARY - ROBERT FLETCHER The sudden passing of Robert Fletcher occurred on Sunday, November 26, 1978 in his 45th year. 'Robert Gordon Fletcher was born on February 4, 1934, the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Fletcher. He was raised and educated in Lindsay. On May 20, 1961 he was married to Patricia Hoskin. In 1965 Bob and Pat moved to their new home at R.R. 2 Blackstock where he operat- ed a sand and gravel busi- ness. Bob was an avid curler in the Blackstock Curling Club and was active on the Artificial Ice Committee. Bob leaves to mourn the passing of a loving husband and father, his wife, Pat, a daughter Diana and son 'Scott both at home. Also surviving are his sisters: Isabel (Mrs. H. Rootham) and Margaret (Mrs. R. Harrison), both of Toronto; Betty (Mrs. H. Kittle) of Bobcaygeon, Susan (Mrs. F. Thurston) of Dunsford, Mary (Mrs. E. Briens) and Evelyn (Mrs. G. Woolacott) both of Lindsay, Bertha (Mrs. G. Traviss) of Kirkfield, Helen (Mrs. J. Mcintyre) of Woodville, Sara (Mrs. A. Bryans) of Oshawa, Joan (Mrs. B. Brunt) of Bowman- ville, and brother John Fletcher of Toronto. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. V.M. Parsons at the chapel of McDermott-Panabaker, Port Perry. Pallbearers were: nephews, Larry Brunt, Robert Fletcher and Mark Graham and friends Keith Haines, Tom Dean and Ross Atkinson. Interment was at Union Cemetery, Cadmus. Carol talked about applique, patchwork, piecework and tied quilts. Types of quilt backing were discussed as were the type of batts one can use in the making of a quilt.
