April 4th at 1:30 p.m. The president Mrs. George Heaslip opened the meeting with the Ode and Collect and read "An Old Irish Bles- sing." Secretary Mrs. M. Firlit read the Minutes, Financial Report and Correspondence. During the business period a donation was 'made to the Hospital Auxiliary in Port Perry. Mrs. J. Wygerde brought a report from the District Directors meeting regarding the District Annual on May 9th at Maple Qil Painting. It was decided to carry on through the summer months and withdraw January and February meetings as this had worked out well this past year. Caesarea Euchre Club Although the weather was stormy Wed. evening last for the weekly card party, quite a number braved the elements. Winners were as follows: 1st prize - Betty Ringham; 2nd prize - Olive Frayer; 3rd prize - Eva MacDonald. The Ladies Auxiliary are planning a '"Special" Easter Euchre for next week. These enthused members make community life more enjoy- able - no hum-drum exis- tence for Caesarea folks and those who are interested enough to attend from a distance. The only draw- back is the weather-man - he just won't co-operate. Hope- fully next Wednesday eve. will be a fine night with a splendid attendance. You may be sure a warm wel- come awaits you. Dr. Wilson, who received the party nomination for this riding more than a year ago, feels that there is an inter- locking between the issues of national unity and the economy. Community Shower - A community shower was held Monday evening for Cathy Hart, at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Hart, Nestleton. The April Fest 79 and Authentic German night sponsored by the Nestleton Area Recreation Club held Saturday evening last at the Community Centre was a tremendous success. Special German Cuisine was prepared and served by the Donauschwaven Park German Club. The Ump-pah Band directed by Karl Schultz was excellent. A Cabaret Show under the direction of Diane Lackie, featured highlights of the Cabaret Show to be held later this Spring at Town Hall 1873. Pine Ridge Garden Club The Pot Luck Supper held at the Nestleton Community Centre, April 3rd was well attended and quite success- ful. A film on Plant propoga- tion proved most interesting. Next meeting will be held May 1st at the Centre featur- ing a Mini Garden Show. Social News Mr. and Mrs. Harry Morris of Seeleys Bay, were Saturday overnight guests of her mother Mrs. Beatrice Cooledge, Nestleton, and attended the German Fest 79. After visiting her husband Bruce at the Nursing Home on Saturday, Mrs. Bruce Heaslip stayed over Satur- day night and Sunday with Mrs. Alvin Bruce and daugh- ter Marge of R.R.4, Port Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Berwin Adams, Oshawa, celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniver- sary in Columbus Hall Satur- day night. Mr. and Mrs. Fred -~Dayes, Nestleton accompanied by their daughter and husband Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Andrews, Prince Albert attended this special event and enjoyed the evening immensely. Mr. Orval McKee of Calgary, Alberta called on the Dayes Sunday afternoon.
