The most comical play of the game occured in the home half of the fifth inning when Greg Warriner got caught in a run down be- tweeen second and third. Over ten relay throws were made, with Warriner re- treating on all of them, be- fore the ball was overthrown and he made it to third base. Cockerton closed the door on the visitors as he and Brown combined to check Udora on eight hits with seven strikeouts. The Legionnaires opened the season with a 23-7 wipe out of Udora before being dusted by Uxbridge 13-6.
