Heron The regular monthly meeting of the Ashburn group of the W.M.S. was held last Tuesday evening at the home of Florence Ashton. Muriel Fisher gave the opening devotions, she also read a humorous poem that everyone enjoyed. which proves we need some humour mixed in with the seriousness of life. The study for the evening was taken by Lois Daw, which was based on China. The hostess served a lovely lunch and a nice visit was enjoyed. Mrs. W. Gardner, Mrs. D. Ashton, Mrs. C. Bryant, Mrs. F. Daw, Mrs. A. Fisher, Mrs. E. Heron, Mrs. L. Death, and Mrs. D. McKinney attended the Summer Rally of the W.M.S. of Lindsay Presby- terial held at Bolsover last Wednesday afternoon and evening. Everyone enjoyed the most worshipful atmos- phere in the beautiful new church set in the pines. Several people from Ashburn attended the Odd- fellows and Rebekah decoration service at Groveside on Sunday after- noon.
