Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Murray of Ottawa spent a few days last week with Rev. and Mrs. Charles Clarke of the village. They also spent visiting time with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Daigle, Charlene . and Max. Rev. and Mrs. Clarke have also been enjoying a few holidays at Meaford, mostly the week ends. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Hodg- ins along with Heather were due home from the east coast on the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Martyn spent the week end in Thamesforth, guests of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Rutledge. Our congratulations go out this week to the proud par- ents of a baby son, Sharon and Bill Wanamaker, nice work! Mr. and Mrs. N. Dogett ard family of Spanish visited her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ben Smith for a few days. The Brian Beacocks ac- companied his parents, the Les Beacocks to Seagrave on Sunday for their grandson Craig Beacock's first birth- day. Ralph Lake from Oakwood spent a few days this past week visiting his grandpar- ents Mr. and Mrs. Earl Martyn. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Love were guests of friends at Balsam Lake on Sunday. Along with them were Mr. and Mrs. John Love and April. Sincere sympathy of Prince Albert community goes out to Mr. and Mrs. Clare Vernon in the passing of Mr. Frank Vernon. Recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Goulding were their daughter and her hus- band Mr. and Mrs. Ron Wheeler from Ennismore, Ontario. Also Mr. H. Gould- ing from near London, Eng- land spent a few days with the Gouldings. Again we wish better health to Mr. Ross Strong who has been transferred to Port Perry from Oshawa Hospital. The enrole- ment had increased this year and so a new class was started for three year olds. The service began with pro- motions and approximately twenty-five students passed through the gates to a higher class. Also first, second, and third and fourth year attend- ance pins were received by nineteen students. We were proud to have Shelley Dear- borne and Charlene Daigle receive their Bibles from the U.C.W. upon completion of the memorization program consisting of twelve difficult pieces. In the fall we hope to have several more presenta- tions of this kind. Our guest speaker Mr. Mel Smith from the Salvation Army and well known for his radio program "Sunday School on the Air" was enjoyed by young and old alike. Rev. Stuart McEntyre officiated at the ceremony. The bride is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lynde, Ashburn, Ont- ario. The groom is the younger son of Mr. and Mrs. Santo Costantino, Perry St. Whitby, Ontario. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was beauti- ful in a full length gown of sheer organza over taffeta with empire waistline, full sheer sleeves and mandarin collar. The bodice and sleeves were trimmed with Chantilly lace and seed pearls. The collar, skirt and hemline were enhanced with a pleated flounce and flowed softly into a full chapel train. A matching bridal hat of pleated organza was worn with a fingertip veil of nylon silk illusion. Miss Patricia Vos was maid of honour. The brides- maids were Mrs. Leslie Guthrie, R.R.2 Whitby; Lori Lynde, Ashburn, both sisters of the bride, Mrs. Pauline Lynde, Glace Bay, N.S. sister-in-law of the bride, Mrs. Rocchina Costantino, Brampton, sister-in-law of the groom, Miss Candace . Mr. Bramwell Ritchie of Oshawa was the guest soloist at Burns Church on July 1st when Rev. McEntyre gave a Dominion Day message for the congregation. The Sermon last Sunday was one of the series for July "A Debt of Love'. Rev. McEntyre also sang a solo that fit in with the message. Next Sunday the series will continue and the message will be the "Law of Love."
