Weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Russo and Jeff were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wright (nee Lois Hender- son) and son of Pefferlaw, Ontario. Mrs. Joe Hurtig accom- panied by her daughter is currently enjoying a three week holiday in their native homeland of East Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Malcolm are currently in Edmonton, Alta. where Howard is scheduled to at- tend a Pork Convention and hopes to take in the Calgary Stampede and Klondike Days in Edmonton. Mrs. Audrie Brown is spending a few days this week with her friend Anna in Owen Sound area visiting 'auld acquaintances." Mrs. Hazel Whittaker and Mrs. Audrie Brown were Saturday evening BBQ din- ner guests at Malconia to ob- serve Hazel's birthday (her 39th). Despite their pleas, we did not permit them to go "*skinny-dipping"' in the 1! On the last Sunday in July, a pot luck dinner will be held in the Church Hall following Church Service to bid au revoir to Rev. Stanley & Mrs. Haines. As usual the ladies will bring the lunch, the men will bring the "pots". It is hoped that a good turnout will be present as evidence of the com- munity's appreciation for Stan's service to our church. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Ken- nington and family enter- tained Mrs. Kennington's sister and family from Western Canada. On Satur- day evening the Kenningtons had Mr. and Mrs. Bert Riel and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Preston for dinner guests. On Sunday the Prestons and Bonnie were scheduled to leave for Germany for a vacation with relatives there.
