Vacation Bible School held last week was very success- ful, and they concluded their sessions with a program of songs and crafts on Friday evening. Obituary | ALLAN FRANKLIN NOTTINGHAM Many friends and relatives learned with deep regret of the sudden passing of Frank Nottingham who entered into eternal rest on June 30, 1979 in his 75th year after 6 days of illness in Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay. Frank was born on the 6th concession of Reach Town- ship and at an early age moved to a farm at Raglan with his parents, the late John Nottingham and Cath- erine C.Ferguson. In 1928 he married Hazel Shunk and in 1934 they moved to Sonya where they still farmed. : Frank was a member of Sc. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Sonya. Also an active member of Britain - Lodge 316 of the Independent Order of Oddfellows. "Frank was also a member of the Victoria County Plowman's Association and he also coached at several plowing matches in Ontario for sev- eral years. Frank was also an active curler in younger years. Left to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father are Hazel, his wife, and son Ross and his wife Shirley and daughter Kay and her hus- band Lawrence Morrison. Also 8 grandchildren and one great grandaughter. There are also 2 sisters, Mrs. Lorne H. Knapp (Mar- ie) of Oshawa, Mrs. Earl Squelch (Erie) of Columbus, his 2 brothers Stan of R.R.1 Oshawa and Roy of Caesarea and the late Fergus Notting- ham. The many beautiful floral tributes and many memor- iams were silent tokens of the esteem in which he was held. The funeral was held on Monday July 2nd from the chapel of McDermont-Pana- baker, Port Perry. A very comforting mess- age was delivered by Rev. Stuart McEntyre of St. John's of Port Perry. Inter- ment at Pine Grove Ceme- tery after which friends and relatives participated in a lovely luncheon and a friend- ly cup of tea served by friends and neighbours of Sonya.
