Since her job began on June 18 Michelle says she has had over 300 inquiries about camping facilities and accomodations in Scugog Township and outlying areas. Michelle was hired by the Scugog Chamber of Commerce and will finish her summer job on September 4. Sorry to report Mr. Maur- ice Tait of Uxbridge passed away during the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Armour Mc- Millan visited with Mr. and Mrs. Andy Davidson at Crys- tal Lake one day last week. Master Ricky McMillan of Uxbridge spent the weekend with his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. A. McMillan. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Beer of Whitby visiting with Mrs. Valma Foster on Sunday. Mrs. Valma Foster and Mrs. Ruby Beare attended Mrs. Ethel Whitter's ninty- third birthday party on Sat- urday. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Christie of Sunderland and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wood of St. Marys visited with Mrs. Verna Baird on Sunday. Don't forget the euchre party this Friday August 24th at the hall. Peter Stone attended the Trans-Am Atlantic race at Mosport on Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Norm Coup- erthwaite of Myrtle visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Couperthwaite. Mrs. Joyce Willis of Sarnia called on Mr. and Mrs. George Beare on Sunday. Mrs. Doreen Enns and "sons Roy and Rob spent a few days last week with friends at Kirkland Lake. The Wallace family of Saskatoon were visiting last week with the Rodd families in this area. Sorry to report that Mrs. Russell Rodd is a patient in Uxbridge Hospital. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Real were Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dixon and Mrs. Amy Hughes of Toronto, and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Diceman and family of Ajax. Mrs. Ham from Cresswell visited Friday with John and Margaret Couperthwaite. Mr. and Mrs. John O'Leary and family have moved to Oshawa. We wish them the best in their new home. We also wish to welcome the new neighbours that have moved into their previous home. Mr. and Mrs. Angus Meis- ner and family have return- ed from a three week stay in Nova Scotia. : Mr. and Mrs. Dave Morton and family of Ajax were dinner guests Sunday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. George Beare. Mr. and Mrs. Roundell's family and friends had a_ fortieth wedding annivers- ary celebration: at their home Saturday evening, fol- lowed by a dinner at Emiels Restaurant. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Em- pringham and daughter were Sunday visitors with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Empringham. Wilf and Marjorie Oliver are looking forward to a visit from their son Doug from Georgia in early September. Mrs. Evelyn Heron of Nor- wood was the lucky winner of the beautiful afghan at the Women's Institute last week. Congratulations to Rever- end John and Mrs. Roundell who celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary last week. Approximately one hundred and fifty friends from Seagrave, Pinedale and Greenbank gathered at Greenbank Church on Wed- nesday evening to honour them in an evening of fun and fellowship.
